i'm not an owner, but they can have lots of hip dysplasia and temperament problems. do your research well on a breeder; check out the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals web site when you locate a potential breeder; and if the breeder doesn't check hips DO NOT buy from them. they should show you results from the parents at least.
I don't personally have a Burnese but if you do you homework and look for a breeder who shows and guarrantees for at least 2-3 years and guarrantees hip etc...They are really nice dogs, I'm sure there are some with some behaviour issues. But the animals I've seen have been very easy going.Ask a breeder for a laid back puppy and get a female, she will be a tad smler. They do need some grooming att though and its a costly trip to the groomers.
hey, i have a BMD, ther're great beautiful dogs. But they have the biggest tail that hurts when u get hit by it. Mine did have problems with his leg or something but now hes over it. they warm up fast so I suggest u get a 5 dollar pool from wal-mart.
I have 2 BMD. My female has been having troubles with one of her front paws, but I am thinking that it is just because she is growing so fast. They are wonderful and beautiful dogs! They are very sensitive dogs. As for health problems....every breed of dog has its health problems. Just look up a breed of dog, and all the health problems it can have. If you do get a BMD just be sure to really check into the breeder and make sure that they do the health clearances such as hips, elbows, vWD
