Yea, the pics went in order of newest to oldest, I need to take a new one he's already tripled his size.
Okay, I saw the parents and the father was 60/40 wolf and great pyrenees (looked just like a wolf too) and the mother was 75/25 wolf and malamute. It's the colors really that make me think malamute, that and his personality. I think the reason I care so much about it is because I'm worried I got ripped off, but then at 300 bucks if he is a malamute I got a steal, lol. It was a backyard type breeder but the pups were in good condition, they cared a lot about the home it was going to and they offered to take it back if anything didn't work out. I also got to meet and play with the father for a little while, he listened surprisingly well (better than my shibas) and was actually quite friendly. The mother was still too protective of the pups to let her do the same.
The mother and several other hybrids were kept in a wolf-suitable enclosure (8 foot fencing and an electrified ground wire). The father on the other hand was the house pet, kept on a runner outside and was kennel-trained inside. When I bought Kodiak I was sure they were hybrids but seeing some pics of malamutes is what made me start thinking otherwise because they look so much alike. He does seem to have a longer snout than mals though, and his markings are more blended (which I read is another sign of wolf background). Practically it would probably be better if he were a mal but I also want what I paid for, something special and unique, you know what I mean?
