Ok well i have a husky and im wanting to rescue a Australian cattle dog that was abandoned at my school will they get along or will they figth the cattle dog is very friendly and so is my husky but im not sure if they will get along with out fighting they are both males caould anyone help me? PLEASE!!
I agree and disagree!! I had an australian sheppard that I adopted from a shelter. He was the sweetest dog I'd ever had..had some chewing issues...but what dog doesn't?? We crate trained him and loved him and he did just fine!! We unfortuneatly had to give him up but a friend of mine adopted him and she lives on a farm and he gets to sleep in the bed with her son and we see him on a regular basis...he's so happy...but back to the subjest...I agree on introducing them on neutral ground. I believe that they'll do well!! You just have to give them time, they might have the normal "disagreements" but I feel they'll do well!!! At the time I had a silkie terrier that was VERY possesive, so we worried...but they did fine!!! Hope I helped!!
Thanks guys but i had to let him go My husky Matlache, broke the thing that was sepparating them and he started to fight with coony and my mom has heart problems and got agraveted so i had to let him go hope fully hell go back to skool:(
YOU JUST LET HIM GO????!!! Sorry, couldn't you have taken him to the shelter or a breed rescue? Honestly, he'll get hurt just out there on his own. He could get run over, or something. You could have had a friend or neighbor watch him until you could find a place to take him. Don't know where you live, but the shelter would rather be overrun with dogs than to have one running loose to get hurt!
