Someone else may be able to give you much more info on this but here is what I have about it.
It is an infection of the mamory glands or teats usually caused when a girl is nursing her litter but can be caused from lying around in dirty conditions as well. Bacteria gets into the teat and inflamation occurs. You will need to milk the teat to get out the infection as well as put her on antibiotics to get rid of the infection. It is usually recamended that you wean the pups as soon as possible or monitor them so that they do not nurse on the infected teat. Unaltered females can also get mastitis when they have false pregnancy and get milk with there heat cycle. I had a girl get the mastitis durring a heat when she was not bred. It was hot summertime and every time we let her outside she would go and lay in the moist soil to stay cool. Mud caused infection and she had to take antibiotics and then all is well. Just be sure that you treat it and monitor her and she should be fine ;)
I prefur to have my Bordeaux with fur instead of a cork and bottle ;)
i took her to the vet and he found 3 teats with mastitis my question is can she have mastitis in all her teats or just in those that he found beacause if it can be in all of them then i will need to feed the pups since they are only 48 hrs old any info would be really appreciated

I just e mailed you. DO NOT let those babies nurse on the teats that are infected. You should make the forumla I left on the sticky and start supplementing them. You can't even think about weaning puppies right now, not for at least another few weeks the I can help you wean them fast. Keep the infected teats covered and monitor the nursing. Start supplementing this morning. Ill be home later today. Also you can call my cell when you get this post and e mail. There are antibiotics that will be safe for the nursing babies. Cephalexin is one of them and that's used for skin situations.
I had a female get this same problem. I just cut off the bottom of a T-shirt and used vet wrap to bandage the effected teets to keep the pups off those. I put her on 10 days of amoxicillin and all was well. Just make sure to change the bandages often.
