how much to give, how it works, etc. for a friend of mine. i have told her to join the forum herself, but she doesn't have the internet at home.
she forgot to pick up dog food and borrowed some from her moms. (her mom feeds the same brand, different flavor as her and and her husband do) Now one of her dogs has the diahrreah but the other does not. she has been feeding hamburger and rice for almost a week and the stools are hardening somewhat. I mentioned the canned pumpkin to her and was looking for some threads to show her.
There are some really knowledgeable husky people here and I hope they see this as I am not as familiar with this breed in size. However, seems to me a year 1/2 F at only 50 pounds is too thin. I realize this is a much more slender breed then what I work with but I have seen Huskies at this age and they are heavier. Perhaps some weight gain is in order? Wiley, Huskysee, others...... hoping you see this.
She is within the weight standard for the AKC. In fact, she is on the high end of the weight chart: Size, Proportion, Substance Height--Dogs, 21 to 23½ inches at the withers. Bitches, 20 to 22 inches at the withers. Weight--Dogs, 45 to 60 pounds. Bitches, 35 to 50 pounds.
