I know how that goes. A while back my dog, no reason, just wouldnt move and if you touched him he would whine and act like he was in SO much pain! We didnt know what to do so we called out vet and told him about it and he said he had arthrites and to give him like baby asprins and he should be fine but also to lay off HEAVY exercise.
Dont know if that help but yes, a dog can show no signs of having something then boom, one day they get it. Best Of Wishes!
Also, i just bought Beniful for my dogs and they LOVED it!!! I have never seen them WANT to eat so bad! I put it down and at first they were kind of weary, but the minute it hit their tounges they were hooked!! Not sure if it is the best for them but they like it and they aren't dead so thats all that matters!
no, i don't have time everyday to be cooking for her, i think i might stick w/ what her vets are telling me to give her, only they know Angel and what she should be eating :)
We'll, all the blood tests came back healthy, she was tested for diseases and organ type stuff!
the past four days Angel has been barfing up plastic, i don't know why or where she could have gotten it from! Were taking her back to the vet again tommorow for the fourth time, to have him check out her barf and find out why she isn't eating!
She only takes a few bites of her dog food, then it comes right up her throat about 5 mins to an hour later, or Angel refuses to eat, she has lost weight and is skinny, i can see and feel her ribs, thats how skinny she is, maybe i'll take a pic of her tommorow, if i have time and download it! I'm really concerned, she'll only drink water out of my hands, and she's not eating much, she's losing weight, but she is still running around and playing! Ugh, i don't really want to go to the vet againg, then i have to worry about what he's gong to say! This has been a sucky week!
Ive had my horse drill team show all day today, which was fun, and it got my mind off of Angel, we had a fun performace, on horseback doing fun moves to halloween songs, the horses had all sorts of spooky halloween decor on them, which some of them took off! They had spider web things around their chests as a breast collar, they had orange pumpikin fringy garland stuff around their necks, braided tails w/ a fringy spider pony tail, halloween ribon and bows on their bridles, and stickers on their rears, and halloweem saddle pads, my team had all black on then ribbons on us and hair stuff, and decor, and the other team had orange shirts on, it was alot of fun! I'm tired and it's late, so if you have any questions about Angel, just ask me! Sorry if i didn't awnser all the questions, thanks for your help and concern :) Mpr and the platic eating poodle!
Oh, it is very unusual for Angel to ever eat things like plastic, she is never destructive, and if she is, it's only because she has to barf!
When one of my dogs (Sissy) was a puppy she got really ill and wouldn't eat a thing or drink, she was puking so much. When we took her to my vet she didn't put her on any meds, but just advised that we give her pidalyte (you know that stuff for little kids when they wont drink stuff) for her dehidration once every hour untill she started drink on her own, then she said once she started to drink on her own to mix half water and half Pidalyte (un-flavored....it just tastes like water to them). That took care of her dehidration problem quick!!! You should really try doing it, it really helps. For the food and sensitive stomache/puking my vet told me to feed her warm rice (not instant rice), since it is light and dogs like the taste of it (and its not un-healthy for them), I had to force feed her just rice for about a day (or untill yours starts eating on her own) and then my vet told me once she started eating the rice on her own to keep her on just rice for about a week and then start mixing half of her dog food and half of the rice together for as long as it takes for her to get stable again. This really helped too, Sissy is an extremely picky eater!! But once she was put on the rice she ate her food like there was no tomorrow. I still have her on the half rice half her food diet, since she does have a sensitive stomache, and it really put some weight on her fast when she was under from the vomiting. For all of my dogs every winter now I put them all on the rice with their food diet, but for sissy its year round. I would highly advise that you give these two things a try, it wont hurt your dog and it wont interfer with anything your vet has you doing. If you dont know how to make rice...for every cup of rice add two cups of water, bring it everything to a boil then turn to a simmer untill all of the water is gone.
Good luck with your pup, let me know if you try this!! I hope you do since it really helped with my baby. :)
we'll Angel is doing much better, and isn't dehidrated anymore, and is keeping her food down, we'll instead of making rice for her we gave her en, which has rice in it. She is doing much better, and i think she is completely back to her normal self, i hope! I'll let ya'll now if anything changes!
