Just a few minutes ago I noticed Sissy was puking up a brite mustard yellow color, she already threw up twice about 45 seconds apart.. i gave her some Pidialite(sp) because thats what the vet tells me to give her when she is puking because it may be from a lack of dehydration. Anyway, I have never seen her puke this color...Yesterday she got Microchipped, do you think this could be a side affect?? She was eating fine yesterday, but I am about to feed her some rice, so I'll let you nkow how she gets that down. Anyhelp would be appreciated :) Thank you!!
What breed is this, and it sounds like she vomits fairly frequently, unless I'm misunderstanding you, which is quite possible. You said the vet gave you pedialyte, to prevent dehydration, that's why I'm assuming this has happened before. No the microchip should have absolutely no effect on the dog.
the yellow fluid she is vomiting is bile. dogs will vomit bile if they have an empty stomach. mostly for vomiting you dont want to feed them, just like you dont eat when you are vomiting. however if she is vomitng due to an empty stomach then feeding her a small amount of food will help. when was the last time she ate ? if this is a frequent occurance for her then maybe feeding smaller more frequent meals would be better for her.
Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.
Yes, this happens, somewhat frequently. When she was a puppy she got sick quite frequently, she and her brother were rescues, someone adandoned them so no one knows their history, all I know is that when I got them they had been badly abused and malnurished(sp). She almost died a week after I got her so when I took her to the vet she said that everytime she started to puke to give her Pidalyte to reduce the vomiting. She also advised that I feed her rice because of her sensitive stomache. The last time she ate was yesterday, I feed her morning and night. ** She is a mix between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a English Springer Spaniel
For some reason it sounds like she has a sensitive stomach. What type of food do you feed her? I would definitly feed her some rice and boiled chicken, and if you can, feed her 3 times a day, or even 4, if your schedule permits it. Small amounts of course. Are her bowel movements normal? Do you own the brother too?
