Just wanting to get to know you and your dogs and if you could fit another dog what breed would you opt for?
I would choose the Bernese Mountain Dog but they seem to have a fairly short lifespan hence I don't think I could stand losing a much loved pet after only 7-8 years but having said this there are no guarantees in life anyway.
If i could have just one more dog it would be a Yorkie- But could never find a breeder where i live so i never got one. But i love each dog i have and i always wanted a maltese also which i do have a 7 month old now named Louie and hes the cutest ever- and I have Daisy and she is 1 year old and is a maltese/bichon frise mix and then Bentley which is almost 2 and hes a toy poodle/bichon frise mix- they are all loving dogs and wouldnt trade them for anything
Hi every one I grew up with German Shepherds my Dad gave me my 1st one when I was 4 I I have 3 they are so loyal, I would Love to have an Estrella Mountain dog and a Tibetan Mastif these are also very loyal dogs, as you can see I love big dogs. Brigitte
There are many breeds I'd like to have....Old English Sheepdog, Lab, Olde English Bulldogge, Staffordshire Terrier, Wheaten terrier, Mini Schnauzer, Polish Lowland Sheepdog, Bernese Mountain dog, Rottweiler, Leonberger to name a few. I have a Shih-tzu x Bichon right now.
In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely try to train him to be semi human. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog. ~Edward Hoagland
I have a bull mastiff/pit mix, a lab mix and a lab. And of course I am keeping one of Zoe's pups, so another mastiff/pit/lab mix - I wouldn't trade them for the world! I think they are perfect for our family!
My parents have a Great Dane and I ADORE him, I don't think I've ever met another dog that is such a baby and so sweet, and would love to have one if they didn't slobber quite so much!! Actually, the slobber isn't that big of a deal in itself, because I could wipe that up - but the slobber EVERY time he drinks is another story!! LOL!
We'll probably never have anything other than Huskies, but I do LOVE Pits. I really gravitate toward strong-willed breeds. Hence, Huskies and Pits!!! There is a beautiful Mastiff at the shelter now that is very tempting. Actually if I had all of the room in the world, I'd just adopt every mutt I could!
I have always wanted a St. Bernard since I was younger and seen the Beethoven movie. But we do not have enough room for one of those right now. And I don't know if I could put up will all that hair! I would keep him/her cut short if I ever got one.
This seems really odd coming from someone with a housefull of little Maltese, but my breed of choice would be Pit Bull. Yep, if I had a yard, and more room in my house, I would definately be involved with Pit Rescue :)
mom24dogs, when I was riding my bicycle cross country, guess who I got to meet at Glacier National Park. BEETHOVEN. They were filming number 2. He is soooo cool for a slobber puss. LOL I don't know if I would want another breed as a breeder. Because I find it hard enough to learn all that you can about one breed and dealing with those issues. But I love Wire Fox Terriers, Sealyhams and pretty much most of the Terrier group. I guess if I was thinking big dog, diffinately a Rottie or Mastiff.
