Hi! I'm Katie, 14 years old... and I have 5 cats. I live with my parents and two brothers, and in all we have 4 chickens, a dog, 8 cats, and a bazillion saltwater fish. All my cats "live" in my room - a room and a bathroom - and are allowed outside during the day.
3 of my cats are 2-month-old kittens (which I'd love to keep, but I don't think I can). All of my cats are longhaired tabbies (is that even a breed? are they just "domestic longhaired"?) There's nothing wrong with them, they're all normal, darling kittens, but I have a question. Their fur is REALLY fine - it's incredibly soft and fluffy. My two older cats have long fur as well, but one of them has more fur and it's softer, and the other has less, and it's really silky and smooth.
Anyways, the question is, does the feel of the hair depend on the cat? Or do kittens just naturally have really, really soft fur?
