A couple weeks ago I got a new cat,Mac. See,the reason of how we got him is that my brother was going to McDonald's,when he sees these people dumping Mac out of their car. So we help him by taking him home. Now,my mom thinks he'd be much happier if we give him away to her friend's house, where he can run around outside and play with a bunch of other kitties. Since he's my cat,the choice is up to me. What do you think? Should I keep him or should I give him away?
I guess that depends on whether you have the ability and the "want" to take care of the cat. If you are unable to care for a cat, then you should take him to a shelter where they can find him a good home. I would pick a shelter that is against euthinization!
On another post you said that you already have a cat named Linus too. If your other cat is ok with adding Mac to the family and you can take care of both (food, vet, etc.)and your Mom is leaving it up to you to decide if you want to keep him, I don't see why Mac would be any happier at your Mom's friend's house. Unless you have a really busy life and she feels like you're not around to care for the cats. But if her friend is willing to take care of him, he's better off with either one of you than he was with the people who dumped him off at McDonald's. He's so lucky you and your brother rescued him.
