I have recently noticed a bony lump on the top of my 5 month old pups head. She is a german short-haired pointer and it has been there for about 1-2 weeks. It is about an inch in diameter and protrudes from her head just under half an inch. It isn't central on her head and is towards the front. It is definately bone and she feels no pain from it.
If you are talking about the bony lump being in the center of the head towards the back, that is a natural bone structure of your dogs' head. We see this with some Golden Retrievers and I believe English Springers can have this as well as Pointers. But always have your vet check out your dog if you suspect something isn't right.
