I bought a kitten 8 months ago at the humane society and have spoiled him as much as I could. Its the first time I have ever owned a cat and he seems pretty lonely. He is a Siamese mix and needs a lot of attention so I was thinking if I should get him a companion. He seems pretty friendly but I don't know if he could react well with other cats. One time I took him to the veterinary and they had a cat roaming the clinic. My cat "Coco" was locked up watching the roaming cat. The roaming cat just meowed a few times and approached my cat but then coco began hissing really bad. Does this mean he would not be able to live with other cats??
Getting another companion for a kitty you already have is a great idea, but defiantly introduce them to each other in a non-territorial place. I had two kittens that were brother and sister, and then decided to get two more that were brother and sister. It was really easy to introduce them to each other seeing how they were only like 4 months old at the time but when i first introduced them together my first too kitties that i had hissed a little more than the two newer ones i got just because they had spent more time with me and thought they were so dominate. But now they are all fine together and its great because they all keep each other entertained, and loving one another!
Siamese cats are almost always more agressive each other than another cats. But I think you can buy second siamese kitten too. Sure, they'll be able to live together. I think, it takes from a few hours to a few days for adopting. Sorry, for my bad English.
