One of my female cockers has the red mange, I get this from all the sites I have visited on the subject, but there are so many different solutions I don't know which way to go. I don't want to harm her and she is getting worse. Please tell me how to cure her with oral medication as I am a truckdriver and am only home on weekends to administer medication. My stepson takes care of her during the week, but I am the only one to give meds, just for safety sake. I don't want her to die and my husband wants me to get rid of her if we can't cure her. What is best to use, where do I get it and how do I use it? All help is needed and appreciated!
we have rescue several dogs with mange have used prolatel lintox-hd its used for mange and insect repellent for livestock you can find it at your local feed store or your vet just use 1 gallon of water to about 12 cup of this .dip your dog and then again in about 7 days. it smell alittle but it has worked for us several times.
My vet gave my Mycodex shampoo to use. Bath daily for 10 days in the effected area, pat dry with a clean towel. This type of manage is much easier to cure than the sarcoptic manage your husband is probably concerned about. Did you take her to the vet, what did they suggest you use?
