Bruno is 10 months old and we had him neutered 2 months ago to see if it would help this problem . He is great about potty trining, he goes on his puppy pads or outside -weather permitting- But when my husband comes home or company comes over he tinkles on them. even if i take him out to pee he still manages tosave just enough to embarass me by tinkleing on them. Its causing lots of laundry and a stinky counch. ANY suggestions on how to stop him from doing this. I know he is excited but Im lost and hubby is getting real mad.
For wolves, a lower ranking animal will roll over for a higher ranking animal and will urinate, and especailly yoounger animals. The problem is the dog is so small that everyone is going to be bigger and a little more threatening. Try squatting down and hold oout your hand, touch the chest or belly. Avoid petting over the head and back, don't bend over the dog to pet the dog. Basic obediance training will also boost some of that confidence.
