We've nicknamed him "Tank" from day one, however, we dont want to name him that....Because of it, all I can think of is "tank" when we are coming up with names and can't think of enough names......and then, when we do, hubby and I can't agree. So, any suggestions????? http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd152/mastibull/tank3.jpg
Instead of naming him tank, why not name him after a type of tank, like Abram? Or Sherman? Then people who ask you why you chose that name, you can answer, "We call him Abram because he's a tank ;)" Or, you could name him after a famous larger-than-life military figure, like Ike, or Patton.
Never trust a tall dwarf... he's lying about something.
My rottweiler that I have now we named Loki (Norse God of Mischeif) and believe me it fits. But, before that, we had thought of naming him Dually, like the truck. Just because he was the largest pup, and of course was going to be large. Other than that, I am not too good at names.
Ohh,,,our male pit bull puppy that we have now, Tater Tot, I wanted to name him Donka. Just by imagining the way he would walk, not the song. But hubby and I really like Ron White, so Tater Tot it was.
Minniyar has a great idea. Minn,,,,remind me to get with you on naming our next one... :)
It's a VERY short list.... I like Capone, my husband likes Zues. So then I thought, well, Zoe and Detour .....ZETO! Hubby shot that down real quick and said it sounded like a pasta dish......You don't want to know how this discussion ended...LOL!
If he's already full of engery and mischief, why not Marmaduke? Then you can shorten it to Duke, a sufficiently "big dog" name. Although, I like the names Diesel and Tank. Thor's a good name. I guess a lot of how I name a dog is by his personality. My last dog was Scooby-Duke. He ended up being called Goober most of the time! =o) He's gorgeous, by the way.
