I have 3 cats that jump on the counter- I cant get them to stop. It doesnt bother me- I just clean up after they jump on it. You could always use alumimum foil and spread it on your counter and the cats do not like the sound or feel of it (I am not sure) but anyways it might take a few times for them to stop doing it.
Depending on your cat's opinion about water, I would try leaving little puddles along the edges where she is jumping up. My cats don't mind water but they HATE wet feet. It might discourage her. "Experts" say to squirt them with water to make them stop a bad behavior but Allie just stares at me until she is soaked and Bailey is smart enough to connect that it is coming from me so she just doesn't do bad things when I am looking. (She also knows that I control the laser pointer which her older sister has not figured out.) This kitty is scary smart for 5 months! Luckily persians are not jumpers so they need a boost for tables or counters. I just keep the chairs pushed in so they can't use them or else they would spend all day up there and I definitely don't appreciate cats on tables and counters. But once a cat gets an idea that she likes to do something, it's next to impossible to make her stop. Just keep discouraging it and maybe she will grow out of it. And don't put anything up there that she wants. For instance, don't feed her a treat and then put the container on the counter where she can see it.
I have two cats that are always on the counter. It does not bother me at all. I just do not allow them on the counter when I am cooking or working on the counter for any reason. I just make sure that before I do anything on the counter I wash it off.
I have 2 cats and I have had Ugg for gosh 6 years and he has never gotton up on my counters, I just found a kitten a few months ago and brought her home and i cant keep her off the counters, now Ugg thinks he can get up on the counters to. It use to bother me like nothing else when i would see a cat up on a counter. But now it really doesnt bother me to much but i spay Gabby (new cat) with a water bottle and she gets down i also used this water bottle to squirt her when she would try and make a run for the door when some one would open it, and now when the door opens she runs the other way.. The water bottle has really helped and also keeping her out of my plants
Counter surfing is not a problem at our house, but one particular chair arm seems to be a favorite scratching spot. I plan to try double stick tape on the problem area. Maybe that could work for counters, too.
The water bottle works wonders as long I'm in the same room with her. If your not in the room with her she knows shes not going to get a squirt of water, so she gets on the counter. I can't just let her get up there my boyfriend has a cow about it, so I have to get her to stop doing it. This is the only cat I've ever had that wants to get on the counter. Such a pain sometimes! But on the positive side shes a sweet kitten.
Since the kitty hates water, I'd suggest lining the counter with plastic, disposable plates filled with water. You might want to nudge the plates in a little from the edge so the cat can't tell that they are there before she jumps. The goal is to make the cat associate the counter with: (1) unstable footing (2) WET! (3) unpredictable -- even when no people are around. Good luck!
I have been told duct tape stapled sticky side up to some cardboard works well. Not the most humane way though. Personally I have found a cluttered mess to work well no room for the cat to jump up that way. lol
I read somewhere, if you spread syrup on the counter and your cat jumps on, it'll get sticky and lick it all off. Cats hate getting thier fur sticky so they'll never go back up there. ( Don't be mad if it dosen't work!) We have the same problem with my cat. One day, we found him eating raw chicken when we left it out to thaw. ( and he made vampire holes in my candy cane!)
Attach double sided tape to post it sized pieces of paper on your counter, or you can use a squirt bottle and go "PSSSHT" loud when you do it. I walk around my house with a water bottle I got for $.99 like an old wild west sheriff on a power trip... They hate something like tape on their paws almost as much as they hate water.
"PSSSHT" works for sharpening claws on furniture and rugs too, or trying to get into the trash. Now, all I have to do is make that noise and you can hear them scatter.

Hi! I found a few successful tips that helped...1 is to put aluminum foil on the counter (as a sheet-not crumpled up). They don't like the way it feels. Another deterrent is put baloons on the counter. (this also worked but I thought it was a little mean)
