I am pretty sure i have propper filtration for my cichlids but not sure about setting proper media and can not find a web sight that has any information about it. Currently I have...
Tank - 95 Gal. counting sump water
Filter - 10 Gal. sump (aqua clear pro)with 2 pumps about 450 gal. per pump an hour - bio balls - carbon bag - three stage sponge filter - and a couple other misc. media My question is... how much filtration is needed. origanly my tank was set up for saltwater. thats why i have so much filtration but how much is actually needed. Also how can i get rid of my algae problem.
Hi there. In reference to your algae problem...don't worry, very common. I have a website: www.catfishdogs.com and hear about this problem every day. The one product I would recommend is Algone. It is an organic problem and no doubt will help with your problem. I sell a small container that treats up to 330 gallons and only cost $7.69. Check out my website at www.catfishdogs.com and you can read more about the product. Please call me or reply with any questions. Hope I helped a little!
