Looking for ideas of where to buy the crew their Christmas presents. So far I have just a huge order from petedge.com - couldnt find anything really on Drs Foster and Smiths website. Gonna search thru dog.com - but expecting to have most of the same stuff that Petedge does. Looking for original/unique things, as well as good prices. Also may buy them each a collar from collarmania.com and a leash from a site that branches off from there.
Think about donating 20% of what you are spending on Christmas presents for your pets to the Red Cross or Doctors Without Borders to help all those children in Bangladesh who have lost everything in the flooding. You can even make the donation in your pet's name.
I donate and volunteer for various organizations year round. And when I do Christmas time donations, I prefer it to stay local. So I do our local toys for tots and food bank...and still spoil my pets. :)
FYI - Without having a guilt trip thrown into people's faces I do donate, but locally. Money sent overseas, or even statewide never really gets there. Now are you gonna preach about adopting from shelters and spaying and neutering?
And no, I would rather buy presents for my dogs. =D
I was doing most of my shopping through PetEdge, but the shipping was killing me. I've been just waiting until I go to a show and hitting the vendors. Some of the bigger shows have the most awesome stuff. I think I'd go even if I didn't have a dog entered... I try and stay away from the "People Items" as I'd blow my budget on myself instead of the dogs. :)
