I thought these scammers only existed when trying to screw people over when trying to adopt dogs, check out the email I just received when I sent a message to a 'couple' who was selling 2 american grey parrots, it's like the yook the dog scamming script and just changed the name to parrots.. and forgot to take out the pedigree part, and others. I found it to be quite humorous. Keep in mind, the ad was on a used site for JUST my city and these people claimed to originally be in my city. then i got this email:
Hi there, thanks for the mail. Mark and Rema are the two available birds out of four (a male and a female). They are hand raised and home trained with all papers, has been fully checked, DNA tested and have a good relationship with other pets and well trained too. They are close ringed..closed bonded and vet checked with up to date vet records. They are ready to go for adoption with free parrot cage and toys. I am looking for a good home and will meet up any requirements if need to be shipped. They will also come with a pedigree. They are 14months old and will be going out for $300 and a free cage and other accessories and a shipping fee will be required if needs to be shipped. I am giving them for adoption because i just got here for a new job and the job requires a lot of time so i immediately realized that they are going to be lonely and as you know perfectly well that they are delicate creatures and need a lot of love, care and devotion and that is why i have decided to give them out to a loving and caring home where they will be loved and will be given all the time they need. So if you are interested, get back lets see how they get home. where are you located and How soon do you want the birds? and if needs to be shipped, then get back to me with your full names and the name of the closest airport to your location so that i should contact the shipping agency right away for flight reservation. Also include your phone number and your full home address if you will like to have them delivered directly to your house since they will be coming from the Republic of Cameroon.
*That's a trip!! Didn't know birds came with pedigres!! LOL :)*
Yes some birds have pedigrees, just like dogs not all of them do.
LMAO birds getting lonely together. Yeah right. They must not have time to fly the birds around every day and take them to birdy kindergarten class anymore...lol Birds are usually fine when people work long hours when they've got a mate.
