My neighbors dogs bark too much at night! i can never get to sleep, yet i don't want to approuch any of my neighbors because they all have dogs and i have no idea who's dog it is. Can anyone please help me so when i go to school, i don't go all tired and unable to pay attention cause i am gettin a's and b's
If you can sleep to music, try earphones or a radio by your bed. it may get your mind off the Barking. You could also call the humane society or local police and see if there is a way to complain without anyone know who you are. Good luck
A radio or music player is not a good way to help you get to sleep. Try a "white noise" machine. This makes a repetitive soothing noise, like waves or the click of train tracks or rain.
Bose also makes headphones that "cancel out" noise. I don't know how these would be to sleep in, but you could look into them.
Another thought is to ask your parents to contact the neighbors about their dogs. That is their job anyway, as parents, and they should know that you are not getting enough sleep.
I'm assuming that you are a teenager. You naturally will have trouble getting up early at this time in your life. Teenagers' sleep cycles tend to make them night owls and late sleepers, so you don't need anything to help keep you up at night!
Thanks for the idea's but there is one problem with noise and me.... any noise i hear at night makes me stay awake, all night long. I think the best idea, though is the noise. I have pretty rain noise on my radio. I'll try that tonight and see how it works out. And i can't call the police. All my neighbors are respectful people and i don't want to lose there respect.
Since you can't sleep due to the noise...why don't you take a walk outside and find out exactly who's dog it is that's barking? If all your neighbours are respectful people then once you find out who's dog is barking all night and disturbing the neighbourhood..I'm sure they will be respectful enough to keep their dog inside at night if you or your family speaks to them.
You seem like a very shy and polite person. I dont reccomend any noise deivce and I garuntee that if you are being kept up at night, there are others too. Perhaps a way to find out whos dog it is, you could buy some doggy treats and go around to your immediate neighbors and when you hear the dog bark at the door, take the opportunity to talk to that neighbor. (Assuming your mother would allow you to do this during the day, and perhaps bring her along) I have had a similar problem in the past and instead of being a complaining neighbor, i found that thinking of a solution with the neighbor works best. They may be annoyed by it too. If the doggy is an outside dog perhpas sound-proofing the garage in some way would help (if they have a garage). or perhaps a dog house that could be padded (maybe offer to help build it :) and if the dog is permitted inside at night, perhaps a basement or soundproffing a bathroom.
The hardest part is introducing yourself to the neighbor and letting them know that you do not have sour feelings for them, and would like to help with the solution. they may be very releived to hear that someone is willing to help with their problem. Unfortunately, if your neighborhood is unsafe and you think your neighbors will be uninterested in your plea, perhaps sound-proofing your own room is the only solution. there are many options out there that are relatively in-expensive.
If you are sucecssfull, your other neighbors will thank you.
My Poodle's short stumpy tail. Is this normail length for a poodle that weighs 1.9 lb and that is 4 months old?? His hair is long too
