iv had dobermans my whole life and i think they are very good dogs.. before my last dog chance died at 16 i bought a boston terrierpug mix dog that is aboslutley adorable and hes lonely. i play with him and am always with him or my mom is always with him but he loves other animals to.. and whenever i set up a play date with a friends little dog they never like my cody. and its sad when he looks in the mirror or watches dogs on tv. so anyways i want to get another puppy so he can have a buddy but i dont no what type of dog. my boyfriend wants to get a german shepard. but im scared it might eat my baby when its older.. i always wanted a dolmation but i dont no if there playful enough i like big dogs that like to ruff house and are smart enough to be off the leash and stuff.. soo .. what should i get.
You may want to check with your parents first, to see if they really want another dog at this point.
Don't worry about a Dalmatian not being active enough. They are VERY high energy dogs and they required lots of physical activity, daily. This means lots and lots of walking and playing in a supervised area.
Do you have a large yard? Is it fenced? Do you live in your own home or is it rented? These are all questions you will need to answer when you consider a new pet.
i have ten acres my mom wants another dog because im taking cody when i move out and shes kidding but she says shes going to take me to court to get custody haha.. but anyways yea i remember i had a dolmation when i was younger but i dont no. i have 15 acres its not fenced in but i have a huggee pen if that counts? its very very big though its like the size of a horse carrall.
The best thing you can do is research all the breeds you like. Most puppies are extremly playful. I love my mini aussies. Their energetic, fun loving, and amazingly smart. I also like the Norrbottenspets. It really just depends are what you like and what you can afford. Research is always best. If you like your boston terr mix, think of a boston. Pugs have to many health issues. Good luck
Just wanted to ad that I have a German Shepherd with my Chihuahuas. I am not a bit worried about her eating them! It is all about who is dominate, first of all it is me, second it is the Chihuahuas. She is a great dog, very smart.
