I am in love with my new puggle we have had him for over a month. He has only got about 1/2 of the potty training down and keeps going in the kitchen. Even if we just came back inside. It is really frustrating. Did I mention he is up at night as least 3 times? HELP
your puppy might have an urinary tract infection. go to wal-mart in the vitamin section of the pharmacy and get some cranberry pills. give him one a day. i would continue to give it to him everyday forevery. just consider it a treat for him.
i have the same problem. I just got a 5 month old shih-tzu pup who is not fully housetrained. I have had him for a little over 1 week. His former owners used pee pads in the house, which I have never used, but I have gotten the dog to go outside and pee on the pads outside. He has had a couple of accidents, but not every day. So I guess he is doing pretty good. Now the issue is that he wants to pee on the throw rugs in the house. I think he is mistaking them for pee pads, so I think I need to do away with the pee pads all together. I would say he is about 75% housetrained. I do worry though, I thought dogs are usually trained by this age and it seems like the older they get, the harder it is to housetrain them. My last dog was a lab and she was fully housetrained by about 10 weeks old. It seems from what I have read that small dogs are harder to housetrain.
