A Peagle is a cross between a Beagle and a Pekingese. I wouldn't consider them a breed, or even a breed under development. They are a mixed breed for now. I don't know about the future of Peagles. They might end up never making it to a breed status, like the Toy Munchkin, and eventually disappearing. Although, serious breeders might take interest in them, such as what has happened with the Cockapoo, who now has at least two breed clubs. There is no magic number of breeds, and I cannot say whether or not the Peagle is to become a breed. If you are looking for one, please use your best judgement. Find out about the Pekingese and the Beagle. Make sure both dogs are a good match for you, as a Peagle could be anything in between.
Peagle ? Oh please..... another designer mix pumped out for the sake of the almighty buck. All these breeders pumping out these designer dogs, which are mutts, plain and simple, ought to just give them all the same name. mixedmutts. They can breed them so tiny they fit in a small can and sell them on the shelf in stores. aisle three mixed mutts, next to the mixed nuts. or they could sell them in the shoe section along with the designer shoes and handbags. you could either kick yourself in the rear with the new shoes, or clock yourself over the head with the new bag, for being stupid enough to buy them in the first place..................

Wow. Angry much about designer breeds? I own a purebred Beagle and am looking into another one. I came across the puggle and peagle mix breeds. Obviously judging by the harsh tones to just saying "breeds" I must put "mix breeds". I love my Beagle and I want a playmate for him, but I want a lap dog also. I like these mixed breeds because they have the traits of both the purebreds. I am doing my research. I just wanted to put my 2 cents in.
Funny how most dogs that are now considered pure bred derived from a mixture at some point in dogs genetic timeline. ALL dogs are a mixture. Dogs that people may now consider a pure breed; hundreds or maybe thousands of years ago, we're not. There should not be an issue with mixtures, its the circle of life. There is a problem when it is forced cruelly, but if a beagle and a peke decide they like each other and they make beautiful puppies then so be it. And if a responsible kind breeder wants to give the world the same puppies then so be it. Just as long as there's no cruelty involved. Just like a regular old beagle breeder would do.
