do you have to give a break between breeding them. What I am asking is this, I have breed my Dam with my Stud 2 times and this last time she came 1 month early. So got caught a 3rd time. Each time she has beautiful pups but my vet says I will age her faster, can someone tell me the answer pls.
I believe you should only breed them every other heat. Or, once a year. They need time for their bodies to heal from the last litter. It takes a lot out of them. How many litters are you planning on letting her have? You should consider not breeding her until she is done coming in heat, but set a limit and spay her after that.
I'd say you paid for advice from a medical professional who examined your bitch. You might want to consider accepting the professional advice you paid for.
Some vets advocate back to back breedings, with a rest following. Some still advocate resting between breeding. I'd say that in this case you've been given the best information for your specific dog, so why not follow it?
