i went to big als yyesterday and the cashier asked what kind of dog i was carrying. i told her a chihuahua and she had an arguement with me that he wasnt!i said ok you caught me, its a bearded dragon!! GET A LIFE! if you can see the picture of my 3 month old chi, can you please tell me what you think???
I don't know what Big Al's is but HELLO...cashier at a store. Why do you even care what she said? Like she's some big expert on dog breeds? My friend had a cashier at Wal-Mart ask her if her little girl was a "mix". Other than polish and italian, the child is not a "mix". How rude! Some people just don't think before they talk. Your picture is very tiny. It's hard to tell but just don't even worry what anybody else thinks. But she looks cute!
Oops sorry...Chewy is a he. I usually assume dogs are males so I am not sure why I said she. LOL. Chihuahuas come in so many sizes and colors and even long or short coats. Maybe you should carry his papers around for the ignorant people. ;) You should create a profile for him on Dogster.com so you can show off some larger photos. (it's free) Just love him and be proud. Forget the mean people. I can't imagine that I would ever tell a stranger that they were wrong about what kind of dog they had. I don't even know what kind of dog my Max is. None of their business. Stick with the bearded dragon explanation!
Your tale reminded me of a story... I'm not sure if you guys have ever been to a dog show, but most dog shows only allow dogs that are entered in the show to be on the show premises. People ignore it to some extent (a lot of times people will bring puppies for evaluation, or meet people) and the like.
One time a owner/handler was walking her wire-haired dachshund around, and one of the dog show site people came up and told her that she couldn't have that 'mutt' at the show. The doxey's owner was in a state of disbelief... as I recall her wire-haired dog was an established champion of record, and one of the top wire-haired dachshunds in the country. She informed the site guy that she'd be taking her mutt into the building to do the show, and he was welcome to watch ;P
Never trust a tall dwarf... he's lying about something.
