My 12 wk. old kitty hasn't been eating. He is drinking, urinating, pooping o.k.,but not eating. He's not as active, and wants to be held all the time, so I know he's not feeling good. Anything I can do until I can get him to the vet in the morning?
Not much you can do if he's not willing to eat. Make sure kitty has plenty of water at least and is kept warm and inside and keep offering food, but get him to the vet ASAP. In the meantime watch for any other problems and keep a good eye on him.
Took my baby to the vet. Vet wormed him, gave him two shots, antibotics, and somethng to get him eating again. Sent some meds home with me also. After a few hours, he was getting better, now he is his active little self, and eating like a little pig!!
I'm glad your baby is getting better! You did the best thing you could do....took him to the vet!! I had read your question but had no advice to offer. Mine always eat like pigs. LOL But I'm happy it worked out ok for you.
I am an animal science major and will be taking my vet tech certification test here in a year'ish time. I'm needing to update my pitiful animal book collection with some serious material pertaining to breeds (not just AKC recognized), anatomy, medical, history of cats, etc. So if you have any suggestions for one or more Excellent cat books, I would appreciate it!
