I was wondering if there was anyone else out there who owned an ultimate mastiff... I've looked all over the internet and can hardly find anythigng about this specific breed. I'd like to meet someone with one of these
It is not a breed it is a cross of 2 real mastiff breeds, I can not think of a reason to cross them, but Dogue de Bordeau x Neapolitan Mastiff = Ultimate Mastiff. Now take every breed trait from each breed, temperment trait and apperance trait, write each of them on seperate pieces of paper, and throw them in the air, pick 100, put them back and repeat until you get the same combination, now you have soem idea of what one of these *might* look and act.
well thank you very much.... I know they are a hybrid, I know their behavior is going to be random just like any other dog you get. I was just curious if someone else had one because I'd like to breed mine to it and see what I get?
Oh. I didn't know that. thanks. I do know that my friend's son has some health problems with his dog. He is already wearing braces on his legs for some trouble. He isn't a year old yet. He ate a Walnut and had to have ER surgery to remove it. He was having stomach issues before the Walnut issue also.......geez you would think a big dog like that would be a little more durable. I guess his huge size gives him the leg issue. He is a sweetie though and lumbers around like a big clumsy dinosaur....lol!
I know that... I just want to see what another ultimate and mine will make? The look of it and all... I know mine looks like a perfect blend of the two breeds and if I could find another one I'd like to see if the offspring of the ultimates would also look like a perfect blend of the two breeds.... the whole process of becoming a recognized breed is breeding two dogs with the same make-up together.
Honestly when you breed two mixed breeds the offspring tend to be even more random than the adults, that is why you rarely see other mixes go past f1, first generation. Some have done it with Lab Poodle cross but it takes several generations to get them to stablize.
I know this is an old post, but i have an Ultimate Mastiff, he is the best dog i ever had. extremely smart and protective. He is the ultimate guard dog, but yet very gentle with all kids, not just our own. respond and i will sen pics
Good grief! Please get your mixes fixed! There are already too many dogs in shelters! No one should breed a dog for the heck of it! Big $$ signs are not the reason or to just see "what you are going to get"! Doing so is so irresponsible!
11/3/2002 - 6/3/2008 RIP Haley, my life was forever touched by yours, which was far, far too short...
