I am a new owner, I have an American Eskimo names Cassidy and she's 10 weeks old. I did a lot of research on dog training and American Eskimos before I got her. I feed her @ 8am and around 6pm, nothing after 7pm or 8pm and I usually get up around 6-6:30am and take her out. She sometimes wines during the night (I don't hear her but everyone else in my house says she wines) but I just let her wine. I take her outside after she eats, whenever she wakes up from a nap and whenever she sniffs around my kitchen like she's looking for a place to go. Is this a good schedule? Should I feed her earlier//later? When do you guys feed your puppy//dog? Thanks!! :)

I have a 10 week old bulldog. Everything I've read says that puppies need to eat 4 times/day. I feed mine 3 times/day because of my work schedule. She eats at 7, 4, and 7. I get up and play with her at 6am for about 30 minutes, feed her at 7, take her out again then I'm off to work. I'm not saying your schedule is wrong, just letting you know what I've read...and let me tell you-I've been researching nutrition and dog food so much for the pst 2 days my eyes are crossing!!! :)
That seems reasonable to me. Good breeders know their dogs, and they've probably based their advice on past successes. As long as the dog seems to be healthy and the schedule dosen't put too much strain on you, I'd say keep doing as you are.
I think the feeding schedule is fine, however, if she's whinng at night, she obviously is'nt quite old enough to hold it all night.I would hold her water after 8, but then she should be going out at around 2. If you can't hear her, maybe the ones who do would take her out. Good luck.
