Ours is "How to Raise a Puppy you can Live With" by Clarice Rutherford. This book I have to say is the best I have ever read. It covers so much more than a lot of the basic puppy care books do. It talks about socialization, puppy teething, stages of development, discipline, clicker training, body language and so much more! I would recommend it to anyone who has just gotten a new puppy or thinking of getting one. I recommend it to all of my customers and the price is VERY reasonable! A must have for all puppy owners. Anyone else read this book. Give me your views! I think it is just simply the best. Any other suggestions?
"Puppy Preschool" by John Ross and Barbara Mc Kinney is great...it really helped me get my yellow lab puppy off to a great start. I truly believe it helped her become the great dog that she was,...Sandy RIP 1996-2007. I read this book when we got our Lab in 1996, and it was my first introduction to the "pack leader" concept, long before we ever heard of The Dog Whisperer.
