The video was disturbing enough but some of the comments were also horrific. Where do you report abuse like that. The awful language and the suggestions of absolutley demonic acts against the mans wife, children and mother. Anybody can watch that and read the comments such as children. I looked around on youtube site for a place to report it but couldnt find anything. I dont usually patronize sites that have stuff like that.
Now this doesnt make it anymore right but I do realize that some soldiers probably dont see much value in life and have much sensitivity to anything when your job is to blow HUMAN LIVES to bits. That isnt an excuse for abuse like that but its the issue that needs addressed. I have read articles on how soldiers come back and abusive to their wives and children when before they went were loving caring people. Anyone who can do something like that to any living thing does not have much capacity to keep them selves doing it to human beings as well, they just dont have a conciense anymore, I think the military destroys their sense of feeling. Otherwise they wouldnt be able to kill people. Right or Wrong? I dont think its black and white as I know its probably either kill or be killed.
Poor Puppy! I really did cry when I saw that thing! Poor puppy! did you hear it crying? it was like " Don't do this to me! I had done nothing to you to deserve this!" Poor puppy! Someone throw HIM Off a 1 million feet high cliff!
Pyrmom, I understand why you removed it, but that clip is all over the net by now. no way to avoid it. I am pretty sure the national media will probably get a hold of it soon enough and give it the attention it deserves.
tatersmom, I can understand some of those comments. Is it really so bad out there that they were totally striped of their soul? You really got to be completely devoid of any shred of humanity to do something like that. I can understand killing for survival like in a battle or for food, but just for kicks? To me, this kind of killing is even worse then killing your enemy. I can almost understand killing innocent men, women and children and rationalizing it as a necessary evil, seeing it as a ďme or themĒ situation. They all become your enemy. in your mind any one of them can hurt you and yours and therefore a fair game. Survival instinct kicks in, your moral compass get messed up and you do horrible things to survive. At least there is some kind of a rational behind it I can understand. But what I donít get is the rational behind killing a puppy, which could never harm anyone, for what I can only assume is for the sake of killing. What kind of an empty twisted shell of a human being you must be to get a great joy torturing a helpless creator like that and laugh about it? How do you rationalize that act? I just donít get it and hope to god I never will.
I am still holding to the hope that this was a prank and no puppy was harmed in the making of this video? Hopefully there are a bunch of soldiers out there that read all those comments and laugh their ass off at all of those gullible bleeding hearts who believe it to be real.
Maybe they have been there for so long, they lost track of time and thought it was April.
One can only hope.
Subtlety is the art of saying what you think and getting out of the way before it is understood.
I didn't see the clip but from the comments on here I assume someone in the military did something horrible to a puppy. It saddens me to see so many comments linking the military to the act. It isn't the military. It is a heartless, evil individual who just happens to be in the military that did it. Terrible things are done to puppies in the good ole' USA all the time. With that kind of thinking the people who do such things can use the excuse of blaming it on their training or on the war instead of being held accountable. Things like this have happened and the military was quick to discipline the guilty parties so please don't blame military service for someone's evil actions. Blame the person.
I've read stories about soldiers and Marines over there adopting stray dogs and puppies, sometimes getting to bring them back home after a deployment is over. It makes sense in terms of latching onto something that reminds you you're still a human being no matter what you see, what you do, or what happens to you. There will always be those who are too desensitized by the experience to have empathy with people, much less animals. War changes you, and some of these guys were cruel by the time they were first recruited.
I saw the clip before the link was removed. That puppy was motionless from the beginning, didn't move a whisker, and I cling to believing it was not alive. The sounds it was supposedly making stayed the same volume while the puppy was supposedly getting further and further away. I hope and believe a person was actually making the sound effects.
arachyd1 I wasnt blaming the military for his actions just some of the consequences that are a result of someone being in a war. There are consequences to everything and unfortunatly some, not all, loose thier sense of conviction to varying degrees. Thats why many need counseling when they come back. I personally know a guy who came back not long ago and guess what, he is perfectly fine as far as everyone can tell. The same kind, caring, loving person he was before. If he were there when that happened he probably would have socked that guy good. But on the flip side some arent the same and one can only imagine way. I also wasnt making an excuse for the guy perhaps just trying to figure out how someone could do that cause not anyone in their right mind could.
This is one of the most disgusting things i have ever seen in my life. People like that needs to be tortured. Just the way they tortured the pup. If they have to problem killing a innocent puppy, its people like that, that becomes murders. Those men better have a very severe judgement.
I got to see the video before it was taking off the internet. (Censorship, got to love it.) I was for the soldiers that are fighting for our freedoms and against the LIARS in D.C. My personal and countries pride is hurt by this. Not only should the person doing the act should be court marshalled, but everyone envoled! (FOR A VERY LONG TIME) Maybe the puppy shot at them or was planting road side bombs, I don't think so. People like that don't need government jobs, but need to be in an institution!!!
Sometimes I actually buy into "everything happens for a reason." If that little dog was killed (and if you read my earlier post you know why I don't think so) there are some positive things that may come of this. The people involved will likely be brought up on charges, maybe Conduct Unbecoming. Whatever the authorities want to call "embarrassing the Marine Corps" this time. If not demoted and imprisoned, they will likely be discharged (and not honorably) on the grounds of having severe character disorders. The military mental health system recognizes that animal cruelty often precedes atrocities and other crimes against people, often helpless people, often pregnant women and children, and these guys are now basically in the process of being red-tagged. If they're married and one of their wives alleges abuse, she will more likely be believed because of this video. These guys are marked, and unlike countless others, will now be widely known for what they are. If that little dog was really killed, it may have saved others even more grievous suffering.
hello, im in the military myself and i would like to appologize for the actions of these troops.i know alot of military people who are very upset and this makes us all look bad, no person, animal or thing should be treated this way. we are there for military support not cruilty. thanks.
Most soldiers care about the animals over there. Which is evident in all the stories you hear about them sending them back home to wait for them. These two pathetic excuses for men do not represent our military. They will be punished and probably discharged from the marines. And it doesnt look like the general public will have anything good waiting for them back at home.
He did not throw the puppy off a cliff. He held the puppy by the scruff then threw him as hard as he could as if the pup was a football. I think throwing him off a cliff would have been kinder because he would definatly be dead. Who knows how much that puppy suffered or is suffering now.
