Hello! I found this forum a week or so before getting a new dog. We adopted from a rescue group and I was looking for information about home visits and found a very informative old post. I have been reading over some of the other messages and found them very informative as well and thought that this would be a good group to join to discuss whatever issues pop up and of course brag about my dogs to people who understand (and don't find it crazy! =)~ ). As a matter of fact I can think of a few topics already I would want advice on but first I thought I would introduce us to the group properly. My name is Donnie and my partner's name is Nikki. We have six cats and two dogs, a purebred Pembroke Corgi called Albie and a corgi-mix called Dora. Albie is a year old male and we have had him since he was 10 weeks. He is a red and white bluie, a major color fault, but he has the prettiest eyes, they graduate from blue to green to light brown, with a grey blue rim. I tell him they look like mood rings. He also has a soft left ear, but when he's in the mood he can hold both up. Dora is a 7 1/2 month old female. Her markings are of a red headed tri-color corgi, but everyone says she looks like a miniature German Shepard. Well, what do they know? The rescue group thinks that she may be mixed with some sort of terrier, since she likes to burrow. I am thinking they might be on to something, because her next favorite activity is looking out of windows and then barking at everything she sees. We've had her for about a week and overall things are going smoothly and the two dogs are already very much attached to each other - at times physically as well as figuratively! Again I'll probably be posting some questions in the near future but for now hello to everyone and hope y'all are have a good day!
