My name is Jennifer I am from Holland Michigan USA I have been married for 21 yrs. Daughter 20, Sons 17 & 12. We have a hamster, 2 kittens 11 months old Star & Storm and we are now currently considering one maybe 2 English Mastiff/Pittbull Mix 6 week old puppies! Hope to get lots of information from this site!
Hi Everybody! My name is Shannon. This may be silly, but I turned 30 today, and my son got me a puppy. (He's ten, so its more like he picked out our puppy and I paid for everything our new family member could possibly need ) Our pup was supposed to me a black lab, but when we got him home early this afternoon, I noticed a few differences in him, that I havent seen in previous labs... I took him to the animal hospital (mostly horses) about a mile up our lane. I was told he looked like a great pyreness lab mix. Well I wasnt ready for that one, because we live in a newer upscale apartment, near a small community college and we had what I believe is a perfect amount of space for the lab... but this pup will probably need more space- so i guess its good that by the time he is 8 months old our lease will be up! Anyways- my son (and the rest of my family) went through about 15 names before we all agreed on Mr. Kitty... because ODIN wasn't cool enough. As a family friend said this evening "when people come over and you say 'here Mr. Kitty, come on' they will expect you to have a cat- not a HUGE black dog!" Mr. Kitty will be 11 weeks old on Saturday, and is already over 15 pounds. He is solid black with one white foot, and a white diamond on his chest. He has dew claws on all four feet, and short ears. His paws are HUGE! I'm not sure if my avitar is visable or not- but that is him! I am new to this, and I havent done anything in any chat room since the late 1990's. I do have lots of questions, and I am a bit chatty somedays... but for now. Mr. Kitty is sleeping in his crate with the door open and my son is on the outside of the crate...both snoring ...

My name is Ashley, I am a married mother of a toddler. I have 3 dogs, a husky, malamute/german shepard/timberwolf mix, and a black lab. I live in Oregon where I raise chickens, goats, and rabbits. My neighbors have tons of feral cats and every once in a while we will get a litter of kittens in the barn so I tame, spay, neuter them and then rehome. So sometimes I get the honor of getting kittens running around in my home too lol. I enjoy every moment of my life and I wouldnt change it for the world. Here are some pictures of my animals.

Hi, I'm Diana and we have a dog and a cat. The dog is about 2 years old. She is either a Brussels and Chihuahua mix OR an Appincer(sp) and Chihuahua. She is a very cute dog and is an ambassador of peace and love to all she meets. In fact, she can't figure out why some people are not dog people especially since she is so cute...she wonders, "What's not to like?" Her name is Muggsy Doodle because of her cute face (Mugg) and because she likes to doodle around
Reilly the cat is a debonair tuxedo purbred Ragamuffin. He's about 15 years old and he can't understand why Muggsy isn't more polite. I mean, after all, he is CAT dontcha now, and whatever she is, she's not a cat...but they sometimes play together.
We're having challenges with the brachial stuff with Muggsy and wonder if anyone else with small dogs has anything they do that helps?

Hi, my name is Holly and I'm a Dog Mother of 3, living in Portland, OR.
First dog, a purebred Chihuahua named Loki. He was a rejected pup of a show dog, so was at a Chihuahua rescue when my husband got him, a couple of years after his divorce from his first wife. This was before I met my husband and we were married, and Loki saw my husband through some tough times of being alone. Loki is about 7 or 8 now. He is loyal as heck to my husband, and very standoffish and shy around other folks, but he has learned to love and trust me over the past 2 years of marriage. In typical Chihuahua fashion, he barks at everything and everyone. He is golden with white chest, rear, etc.
Second is Samson, a black lab and pitbull mix. I would guess his age to be approximately 5. This poor guy was passed around to a couple of homes because of SEVERE grain allergies, so much so that he can't even eat grain-fed meat. We finally have him on a food (sweet potato and salmon) that he can tolerate moderately. When we got him, he was at a pitbull rescue that we were connected with through Multnomah County Animal Shelter. He is extremely high energy and high intelligence. He obeys commands, makes up his own games, and absolutely lives to fetch his ball. He does not have aggressive traits, but has some mannerisms that indicate past abuse, such as fear of anything stick-shaped, vacuums, and has an extremely strong aversion to crates. He is black with a white chest and paw tips.
Third is our Miniature Pinscher, Kato. He is approx 1 year and we got him less than a year ago as a puppy from another dog rescue. At first, they told us he was a "Chiweenie," but as he grew and grew, it became very apparent he was pure Min Pin. He has the classic looks and mannerisms, other than he is mostly black with a few white and fawn accents, rather than having the "Doberman" appearance. He is mostly trouble, as his potty training days are not completely over with, he eats poop, and is a clingy little drama queen. But I couldn't live without him.
All my dogs get along great, and I couldn't imagine life without a single one of them. :)
Here is a picture (the middle one, Kato, is still a puppy here but has since fully matured.)

Hi everyone I'm Jessica. My buddy over here is MACHO. We're from Pasadena, Ca in Los Angeles county. MACHO just turned 3 last month. A English Bull Terrier. He is very well trained. Ppl friendly and loves kids. We spend a lot of time going to the dog parks and he gets along with every one and they're pets small or large. I worked with animals for 13 years and never seen a Bull Terrier with a docile demeanor as his. He's 60 pounds and way active. If your looking for a male to get your female pregnant then he's your man. $500 to stud and am not interested in first pick of the litter. I am willing to negotiate. Thanks everyone for taking the time to read MACHO'S and mines post.
