My daughter who turns four this month been on my case about getting a cat, but I do not think she is not ready. I told her that owning a cat is a BIG responsiblity, that when she can keep her room clean and brush her teeth and hair without being told we talk about. Does any know any books about cats for her age group. Thanks

If you get a cat, it will be your cat. If a 4 year old isn't mature and responsible to take care of their room, take care of their own teeth and hair, why would an animal be different? Yup, I can envision it now,

Mom-"Now, little Janie go and clean the litter box."
Janie-"But I don't want to, besides I haven't brushed my teeth."

I like him a lot better than I like most people. To you he's a dog. TO me he's an adopted son who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly. I have no problem with any of these. <
