The real question is "how do you feel about spaying/neutering humans?", there are a lot of humans in orphanages (shelters) that are the result of adult females going into heat without being spayed first (although they admittedly take a little longer to get to that point, something like 18 years if I recall correctly). Still, why are we arguing about cats when the real thing we need to worry about is overpopulation of humans? I mean, if there weren't as many humans, there would be more room for the cats, right? AMIRITE?

Dude/Dudette, to answer your original question, Bob Barker said to always spay or neuter your pet, that man is my hero and would not lie to ANYONE, EVAR. I would get your cat spayed ASAP, otherwise you stand to come home to a fat cat, and then a litter of little kitties. Then there stands to be chance of incest, and inbred cats, and it just goes downhill from there. Why do you think CatClyde has so many cats? If you want more, either go borrow some from him/her, or visit your local shelter, they have PLENTY there!

if catclyde was 13 then i could excuse his bad spelling eg.

NEVER!NEVER!NEVER! Spay a cat or dog It is not good to prevert its natural instixs. IF every one spayed their Pets they will soon be extinct.
also he cannot spell neutered!! he spells it newtred

So when I am done having children it would be wrong for me to have a tubal litigation? That is the same as spaying. My cousin had it done without ever having children. Is she wrong? The fact is that we do "spay" and "neuter" humans. Only we call it tubal litigation and vasectomy instead. Now you are going to argue that those are done willingly as humans and that cats do not get the choice. That is true, however cats do not have the ability to think abstractly enough to realize the quality of life their offspring would have due to overpopulation. We humans have the intelligence, or at least most of us do, to realize the negative effects of an overpopulation of felines on this earth. Therefore, since we have taken them into our lives as companions, it is our duty to do what is best for them and their entire species, which means preventing overpopulation by spaying and nuetering as many cats as we can. Why can't you understand that CatClyde? If you truly love cats surely you would want what is best for them, but you would have them living in them living in the wild, dieing of disease, parasites and malnutrition, because there are far to many for humans to care for. Obtuse people like you really tick me off, so screw your cruddy spelling and your hurt feelings over getting picked on a people not respecting your "beliefe". If you really loved cats you would do a little research and realize what is best for them.

CatClyde always argues that he/she/it is right and everyone else is wrong, but I know this individual has never volunteered at a humane society, and witnessed first hand how many cats (and so many of them unaltered) are turned in there and die there as a result of so many people not spaying/neutering their cats. Cats are incredibly hard to place, because an unfriendly, shy or unsocialized cat is not a good prospective as far as being adopted out to a new family.

As someone said, I guess Catclyde thinks it's ok for so many of those cats and kittens to die of starvation and disease and in humane societies becuase there's not enough people who want cats as pets.

CatClyde, until you experience first hand what the long term effects of there being so many unaltered cats by volunteering at a cat shelter or humane society, you're going to be considered not only wrong, but blindly ignorant of the reality of the situation.

What is your obsession with 'cat souls'?
