My dog molly got spayed on March 11th this year, and it's been very difficult so far, first she was just leaking discharge and blood from the top of her incision because she had an infection and it was the scariest, she just stopped leaking about a week ago and we had had her bandaged until then, but now she's wetting the bed! she's actually been wetting it on and off since she's been spayed and I was just wondering, is this normal? we had been keeping her lower key since she's been spayed but I noticed her urinating alot more, on her "potty spot" and on her bed...thanks

My little girl peed very often after being spayed. She was also a 8 month old pup, so I took her out every 2 hours or more often. She would also pee every block on walks. I don't know why, but she did "grow out of it" She still pees often on walks, but I suspect it is to rest her shorty legs. (corgi)
If you are worried call your vet back. If they are not making you feel better, call a different vet. I live near a large university with a vet school. They are expensive, but the student vets take every concern as serious and a challenge to fix, vs. the experienced vet who hears too many concerns and starts to shrug them off.
I sat with my mom's dog as it was on the path to death at the regular vets office for an hour, while they did this and that. She was getting worse by the minute! They finally told us to take her to the university. Once we got there, they took her right back and started an IV and other rescue procedures. She spent a week in ICU and the first night we weren't sure if she would live or not. The other vet was going to let her die in my lap.
She had a bad chronic case of whipworms and the strong wormer killed the all at once and was making her toxic. She recovered fine with basic care ( iv's, hourly checks, short walks outside and probably pain meds) It is possible that the week in ICU could have been avoided if we (my mom) were more aware and brought her in the day before.
