I don't mean to offend anyone here, but why exactly is shooting a dog so much worse the euthanizing it. I admit I wonder about his motives; if he got some kind of sick enjoyment out of it that's sick. The story didn't say exactly how he shot the dogs. No one can know for sure how painful lethal injection really is, not that I think being shot is painless. My understanding is the the "gas chamber" is very inhumane and unreliable. Again I didn't intend to affend anyone nor am I defending his actions; just voicing my opinion.
when they are put to sleep i beleieve they dont feel a thing, when my old baby had to get put to sleep she looked peacful and just went to sleep. shooting a dog is horrible no matter how quick or wear it got shot. that is not how a dogs last seconds should be. and i hate shelters that put dogs to sleep anyways. but i believe that is more torture then humane. and im sure someone that would rather shoot a dog then give it a shot is sick and did it for i dont no what reasons, but he was deffinetly sick.
I understand your comments but there is a major difference between your family vet putting your dog to sleep in your presence and an uneducated and callous animal control officer euthanizing dog after dog. I don't see how anyone could put that many dogs to sleep on a regular basis and still care about accuracy and causing the least amount of pain. I also understand that there are some dogs beyond help and some times euthanasia is the kindest option. I agree that the accused is sick and that his actions were wrong, I just didn't understand the extreme amount of anger.
