I've had Molly since she was eight weeks and she just turned two. My Vet and I have tried several things for her alergies, such as, taking her off chicken and putting her on fish, which didn't work. I now got her on sweet potato and rabbit food and giving her carrots as treats. We are taking her off wheat and grain products. I've tried antihistamine's, but they seem to dry her out and she itches more. Steroid's help, but it's not healthy for her to take all the time. Her eyes no longer have a ring around them and her mouth is no longer dry, but she still itches at her ears and her left paw keeps getting red between her toes and her butt area is irritated. The Vet indicated that she had yeast on her paw and I've had her anal area expressed twice and have been applying Cortizone. I've been soaking her paw with medicated shampoo from the Vet, but she keeps licking it along with her anal area. The Vet wants me to put her back on the steroid, but this will be the third time this year already and I strongly feel it's too much. Oh, I took her off Frontline Plus and just applied Revolution to see if that helps. Any suggestions?
Rabbit food? Did I read that right? Why would he want her on rabbit food if she has allergies? Rabbit food is full of grains that she is likely allergic to. Tests can be done to pinpoint what exactly she is allergic to.
People are like slinky's, not really good for much. But its still fun to push them down the stairs.
