So, my husband and I got an american bulldog when she was 9 weeks old. She is now almost 5 months old and we are at our wits end. We are crate training her. We had her in a smaller crate that was just big enough for her to lay down. We ended up giving her a bath every day when we got home from work. She'd poop and pee and seemed to love to wallow in it. She has since outgrown the first crate, we bought another one that's probably too big for her. She can curl up in one end and there's still enough room to fit 1 other pup in there. Anyway, she still poops and pees in it. She has room to do it in one end and stay clean. Yet she still either sleeps on her poop or rolls around in it. We can't keep anything in the crate with her. If I put a blanket in with her, she will pee on it usually within 20 min. She also pees directly on any toys in the crate. She can and does hold her pee all night. She won't do it when we're at work. Recently, for the last week, she has refused to poop outside. She also, refuses to walk, pee, or poop outside if it is raining. In the last 3 weeks she has refused to play with any toys. Her baby teeth are falling out and I bought her some teething puppy toys but she refuses to touch them. She has absolutely no problem with chewing on the wrought iron table or any piece of furniture and really anything she's not supposed to chew on. Offering a toy doesn't help. I tried Bitter Apple and the Fooey stuff. She loves the taste. She won't eat any treats and doesn't really like petting. This dog is a mess. Oh, and she went to the vet last week and she's perfectly healthy.
