My puppy has a goopey eye

I have taken him to the vet and got drops already, but I was wondering if it was a breed defect. His left eyes keeps getting gooped up with like well if a human had a cold in your eye. Geen goop. I wipe it out and his eye looks fine for about a day, but then in the morning or lat nigh it gopped up again. Any insight?

It sounds like allergies, What kind of food is he on. Bichon's have a ton of allergy problems. That would be the first thing I would check out. IF your vet has ruled out infection, You could try OTC eye ointment for people. Make sure you get the ointment not the drops. But definatly make sure the vet has ruled out infection, sratches, etc.
