I live in Philly PA. Moved here about six months ago. I live in a historic district, and learned from a neighbor who has lived here all his life about the burial ground park. I'd been walking Henry there for several months before I knew it was a mass graves. Supposedly a lot of native americans were buried there as well. and yes, I love living in a place with so much history. I love this old house, and while I don't really believe in ghosts I am not totally closed to the idea. I just have never had any experiences personally.
>I have a 29 year old daughter who was introduced to Wiccan beliefs by her friend's mother about 15 years ago. Beliefs she follows and some of which I find were adapted (as were Druid beliefs) by Christianity centuries ago. How dare you say that Christianity has d*mn wiccan beliefs in it! You clearly have empty worthless comments! And, Druids are fictional characters used in the books written by Terry Brooks and other fictional authors. You can't believe everything you read you empty hearted, close minded, satanic freak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Christians do not believe anything in the disgusting wiccan religion!! It doesn't even deserve to be capitalized!!!!!!! edited to add: Stormywinter, the objects you saw "fly across the room" were most likely your eyes playing tricks on you.
Actually no a troll does not just post once and never come back shows what you know. There are many post here where there has been a troll that has post more than once. I have seen the troll start many topics in the same forum before. Alright who is the one who has that web site on what a troll really is?? Please post it!
GrettelGirl First of all, it's ok...I knew I was going to take a hit. I don't mind that.
HOWEVER, Druids, my dear girl, are NOT the stuff of fiction authors. Check your facts before you make your opinions a matter of historical fact. They not only DID exist, they do to this day. Granted, their numbers are small, but they are still a recognized religion.
Wiccians, unlike yourself believe in the rule of 3 (forgive me if I've mistated it, but it's how it sticks in my mind). Whatever you do, comes back to you threefold...good or EVIL. Wiccan beliefs are NOT Satanic, but are in fact based on nature and the natural order of things. I'm sure Isis would be much better equipped to address the specifics here and help correct any mis-statements I have made in my attempt to expalin this to you.
Lastly, check your religious holidays. You might just be surprised to learn that a great MANY Christian holidays were in fact dates of Pagan celebration first. It is really NOT pertinent to the topic, but I simply wanted to try to help you understand just what it is you are speaking of before you continue casting insults and criticizing other beliefs about which you know nothing.

>Lastly, check your religious holidays. You might just be surprised to learn that a great MANY Christian holidays were in fact dates of Pagan celebration first.< The only pagan holiday would be the form of Easter where you go hunt eggs. But that is not the true meaning of Easter. I guess that the egg part could be considered pagan, because that is NOT the true meaning of the holiday. Have fun insulting me even though your insults don't apply.
I believe in ghosts, but not until recently. I purchased a house 6 months ago and the couple who built it in 1934 lived and died in this house. I believe "she" is still here. I have never seen her but weird things happen that cannot be explained by myself or my hubby. Things have dissappeared only to re-appear days or even weeks later. The strangest was when my hubby was adding on to the garage, he had pulled the fuses for the garage to do some electrical work. For some reason he got "zapped" slightly and yelled at me for messing with the fuses. I didnt even know where to look for the fuse box. He led me to the basement to show me what I had done, well....................I had NEVER been in that part of the basement with the exception of looking at the house b4 our purchase. We now blame it on our "ghost" along with other strange acts. (the fuses being the only dangerous act) My dogs dont normally act weird, but on occasion they will go to that room in the basement and "sniff", they also dig the carpet in front of the door to that room, I know it does not sound so weird but, they have their tails tucked when sniffing. That leads me to believe my dogs "sense" something. What I do not know, But I believe it is "her". I am thinking of naming her. LOL And YES....I am Christian!!!!!!!!!!
Stormy, please forgive me for 1 last "off topic" post in your thread, but perhaps this will help the young lady better understand her facts and perhaps learn to check them before making statements as if they were written in stone: Unlike you, I have not attempted to insult you. I believe in the rules; in a battle of wits, never duel with an unarmed opponent and never argue with an idiot, as it might confuse some people. Had I chosen to insult you, I would not have to resort to name calling and profanity. Here's a bit of information on Druids http://www.religioustolerance.org/druid.htm This will help you understand that not everyone who practices their beliefs outside of your church or mine are not necssarily Satanic http://www.forerunner.com/champion/X0042_What_is_the_Wiccan_r.html Here are a FEW of the Pagan holidays adapted by the Christain faith http://www.2think.org/hii/holiday.shtml Along the lines of the original post, perhaps if you took the time to read and listen and learn more, you might have a better grasp of what others around you are discussing without having to resort to insults, name calling and spewing ignorance and profanity as a basis of your strength. You might do a bit better in life. Here is a link to a study about animals & the spirit world http://www.thorsons.com/spirit/features/the_field.asp
