Does any one here have any Holland lops or English lops. I love both these breeds. I've owned Holland lops before and they were great. They are the absolute cutest. I think English lops are cool but they seem to be pretty rare. I would love to hear from any fanciers out there; if you have pictures that would rule.
I raised and showed rabbits for years. I was one of the first ones in this area with Holland Lops. They are a great little rabbit.
I never raised the English Lops, although they are lovely.
Have you had French Lops? They are my favorites, I was very successful showing them. Their ear structure is less cumbersome than the English Lop. Minis are nice, too.
Have you joined the ARBA? The American Rabbit Breeders? They publish a monthly or bi-monthly magazine, plus will provide you with lots of good, solid information on raising and showing your rabbits. They can also get you in contact with the specialty breed clubs.
Tell us more about your rabbits. Pictures please.
Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter.
Thanks for the info. I don't currently own any rabbits. I've had holland in the past and absolutely loved them. They're so sweet and the are the perfect size for me. I been thinking about adding one as a pet, but I'm not sure if I have the time right now. I would love to breed and show in the future. I've attended a few rabbit shows; they seem fun. They also seem a bit hectic too. What colore do your raise? I love the blue fawns; broken and solid. I love them all actually! I had a blonde colored house rabbit that would jump in the chair and kiss us on the mouth. He also loved twizzlers! I will look for some old pics of him and try to put them up. I lost him before digital pics so I will have to scan them in.
I found some pictures. The broken tortie is a bunny my mom bought from a breeder when I was really little (first grade, I think). The second is Hopscotch, I bought him at a rabbit show in Junior high, he's the one I mentioned earlier.
