I have a very special dog to sell and I would like to offer her out on the net. If someone who doesn't live in my area wants to purchase her, I have no idea what to do to get her there. Can they fly? What is the cost? How do I arrange it? Does anyone know? Please help! Redbunny@aol.com
Ask the vet that is doing the out of state health certificate for you to recommend an airline in your area that ships out dogs. Depending upon which part of the country you are from, you may have to drive the dog 2 or 3 hours to a larger airport. Make sure that you buy an airline approved shipping crate. If you contact the carrier, they will be able to tell you what you will need to present at the counter. Shot records, interstate health records, food, water, ect. The crate will have to be marked with the dogs name, the seller and the buyers information.
The dog will have to be a minimum age, set forth by the airline and the temperature at both the home airport and the receiving airport will have to be between 2 set points. They won't ship if it is too hot or too cold.
