my wife and I are considering rescuing a tricolour, four year old bitch from a family member in France and brininging her back to the UK where the climate is much wetter and colder. She is a lovely dog, but is not very well trained and timid when walking by roads. She is used to roaming a large garden and our garden is 1/10th the size she is used to. she is also not used to regular exericise outside of running around the garden where she is now. are there any issues and how easy will it be to train her. she is higly affectionate to us already when we visit her.
I would imagine there will be some issues but what exactly they will be probably depends alot on the dog. I think it is real good that you are asking questions like this and show a concern BEFORE you actually get the dog that is great. One pointer I think will help out is that if the dog is use to having alot of room to run definately keep it on a leash when outside so it doesnt try to have free roam of a big area like it is use to.Good luck!
