If your dog is ruling the roost, and you have no control over him, then in that respect, I would say yes. If he's aggressive at all, eliminates wherever he wants, and won't eat certain food, because he knows you'll give him something else, it becomes more of your behaviour needing some attention. If you're worried about cuddling him or petting him too much I don't think I would consider that spoiling.

My animals are all spoiled BUT they know how far to go. They know that they all get on the furniture when Invited. They are also housebroken. They know we dont pull on the leash. They are still spoiled. Well my dogs know that. If you can teach a cat something you are better then me lol.
If we ban Pit Bulls and Rottweilers are humans some dont like next ?
I like to think of Max as lovingly indulged as opposed to spoiled. He has manners but he also gets away with a lot and gets a lot of love. But my Mom's poodle is spoiled rotten. He knows the rules but chooses not to follow them and gets away with it. I do love him to pieces but he begs, pees in the house when he doesn't feel like going out, barks whenever she's on the phone, hates all male guests and growls until they leave. He even runs laps around the kitchen table while she eats because he knows she will share her food. My sister and I joke that she had better outlive that dog because neither one of us wants him in our houses.
