So me and my furbaby went on a walk like normal around the same street and everything....she was sniffing the ground and when she looked up she was foaming at the mouth and she just kept sniffing the ground and walking around in circles. It freaked me out a little so I picked her up and carried her the rest of the way home, she was very calm and it stopped before we even reached the driveway. Even when we got inside she was fine doing her normal things. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts! thanks in advance!

Sometimes certain smells (like for example the smell of a dog in heat) can cause a physical reaction in dogs known as a Flehmen response. It tends to involve an excessive amount of salivation and drooling, sometime they will 'bite the air' or act like they are making little chewing noises. The salivation/drool level varies from one dog breed to another, but that's what it sounds like your dog was doing.

Either way it's a perfectly normal behavior, and a way for dogs to process intense scents and chemical reactors by using their vomeronasal organ. There's no need to worry or even bother picking your dog up and doing anything special if your dog reacts this way. It just means she smelled something really intense.

The reaction is the dog version of what you see when cats smell catnip. THe smell is almost intoxicating.
