It seems like all my dogs go crazy! I mean they run around and want to play and they start chewing there toys/bones like crazy. I was wondering if my dogs are the only ones that do this and if theres a real reason they do it?
I always thought there was something weird about MY dogs-ever see a 120 pound malamute ricochet off the loveseat? Every dog I have had just goes berserk after a bath, always thought maybe they were just so delighted to have it over with they couldn't contain themselves!
Max used to zoom back and forth across the back yard and roll in the dirt. I assumed it was just relief after being released from the tortue of the bath and an attempt to get the soapy stink off himself to get his own scent back.
haha! no you are not alone! we have wild parties after baths... running, jumping, craziness! i noticed though, that kids do it too! my nephew and niece and all my little bros. and sis. just used to giggle and fly around in a towel right after a bath before curling up and falling asleep. its so funny!

I think every dog I have ever owned has done the power run/zooming thing after a bath. With our red heads we let them zoom around then put them on the grooming table and blow dry them. By that time they have "chilled" abit.
I like him a lot better than I like most people. To you he's a dog. TO me he's an adopted son who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly. I have no problem with any of these. <
Ok I did it. I just gave OREO, the Chihuahua a bath and instead of putting him in a crate with a bath towel until he was dry like I always have all the dogs, I just turned him loose. He ran thru the house and jumped on the couch and started rubbing his head against the couch and shaking water all over. My poor husband was lying on the couch as usual and got splattered. MY bad. LMAO.
I always get a kick out of watching our dog Buster right after his bath. He is usually such a lazy dog and all of a sudden it is like someone stuck a rocket up his butt! He also does this when my son gets his trumpet out. Not while he is playing it, just when he is getting it out and cleaning it. I thought it might hurt his ears, so I started taking him outside when Hunter is playing it, but then Buster seems to get upset. Maybe he thinks it is a call to hunt?????
