do you think if you catch ur dog in the act pooing peeing . Blow whistle and say no while putting his nose in pee putting his nose up to the poo while giving him wee taps on the nose so he will accoiate the whistle as him being bad ? do you think if hes outside for a while comes in and poos on the tiles where the paper WAS should i just train him to just poo outside?

I'm not sure what you are trying to say as it is very hard to understand your grammer, but it seem to me you are rubbing your puppy's nose in feces while make a loud shrilly unpleasant noise and hitting it. This is not a good way to earn your puppy's trust and love, let alone housebreak him. I'm surprised he isn't "pooing" on you while you administer this treatment.
I'm not sure of the purpose of the whistle, it is unnecessary in my opinion and not effective unless you are going to be wearing a whistle on you every second of the day for the next year to catch every accident. A loud 'AH' should be enough to get your pup attentiuon and then you need to grab him and hurry outside as calmly and quietly as possible. Set him where you want him to eliminate and wait patiently until he calms down from this sudden movement and finishes the job. Ignore him until he does, no talking, no direct eye contact. When he squats to go where you want him to, say "go potty" or whatever phrase you wish to use when you want to tell him to potty, and when he finishes praise him excitedly, say "good go potty!" and give him a treat. Never hit your dog for eliminating in the house, you will only succeed in scareing him. Then he will be afraid of you, afraid of pooing at all, or will pee and poo in the house more frequently to show how submissive he is toward you. Also never rub his nose in poo, it is unsanitary and unnecessary, as if you catch the dog in the act, he will know exactly what he was doing when your made the 'Ah' sound and took him outside. If you don't catch him in the act, rubbing his nose in poop is not going to magically make him understand that you are doing it because 10 minutes ago he pooped, his attention span isn't that long and likely he forgot the pooping ever took place.
YOu should make up your mind whether you are using paper or going outside and only train for one or the other, not both. Both will just confuse the poor dog and make housebreaking last even longer.
Read up on crate-training, it is the fastest proven way to housebreak a dog.

Wow whistle ,nose in poo, and smacks on the nose thats a little extreme. Does your pup earn something when he does it the right way? Sometimes thats all you need is positive reinforcment and it works alot better than banging the poor thing around while whistling in his ear.

I am potty training a 2 year old kid I wonder what he would think if I started blowing whistles at him,He may like it and go in his under-roos more often

How ironic I just happen to be putting up my daughters cheer mat and accessories and had the whistle in my hand when he did it and I thought of this post!!! I blew the whistle and said Bubba you peed your pants thats naughty but he thought it was hillarious!...

to comment on the association part. If you want the dog to associate the whistle to an aversive. You would first have to pair the whistle with something unpleasent at the exact same time. like a correction from a leash and at the same time blow the whistle.

But this is not going to be effective in potty training. Peeing in the house is not a "bad" behavior. The dog is not doing it to avoid a correction. They are doing it because it provides relief. Crate training is a much better option.

I guarntee the result of the program you mentioned will be. The dog will hide when it goes, out of your presents. The dog will not learn to go outside or on the paper (which can be very hard for some dogs to learn) It will learn pee or poo in your presence or where you can find it, gets a negative reaction from you. You will quickly cause many problems that are not even related to potty training. And you will not have success at potty training. If you have the option to teach them to pee outside, it's much easier to teach.

Are you using this method to train your 3 yr old akita or do you have another dog? I really wouldn't want a dog the size of an akita using papers in the house. If you frighten the dog enough like Gunny posted and the dog starts to hide it's potty actions you will soon find messes everywhere you would rather not see them and may be hard to find like behind furniture. Horrible mess to clean up if it goes on a while before you catch on.

well at least the e-collar wasnt for the poo accidents. Now your gonna blow a whistle,rub his nose in poo,smack his nose all at home and then go the park and shock him? Your dog is gonna be so confused.Why dont you invest in some training? Have you tried obedience classes? Clearly your dog needs some training if he poops in the house and runs away at the park. (then again with this treatment I may run away too)

jesus some of you are awful ignorent you start to critisize when you didnt even read my letter right its a forum for dog owners to share tips and stuff not to gang up on someone else agree with someone else after you read the comment dont be so irrational i dont put my pups nose in poo. anyway i dont agree with the crate training i dont think its good for the dogs early mental development to be locked up all the time or on a lead in the house my pup hes out most of the time but when hes not the first thing i do when i get up get some treats and a ball throw the ball in one corner of the garden and keep doing so he will eventually poo there and i give him praise in the act and then treat right after the act i havent got a poo in the house in 2 days just 1 pee compaired to 3 poos and 5 pees the other day so it seems to be working

I do not see how someone could claim a crate ( having the locked up all day is a little exgeratted... I mean you do interact with your dog don't you?) Say that's bad for thier mental health. Use harsh physical punishment and think it's not bad for thier mental health.

Look, I have trained dogs for a long time now. I have tried every single method from purely postive to dominace models. From clicker to NILF.

My suggestions are just that, suggestions. I do not use the methods I use because I am the Ethics police. I use them because they are effective. And effectiveness means that it is good for the dog...it's in thier best interest.

Crate training works, because it mimics a den. It's not a cage, or a prison. It's a safe place, that provides protection and a home. The dog will not pee in it because they believe it's thier home. They do not want to mess thier house. If your dog is in a crate all day that's not crate training, that's confinement. I choose to interact with my dogs with a good amount of my day. Therefore I am playing with them. I get to know when they are going to potty. Limiting the crate use. I do not tether dogs to me. I either am engaged with them are I am not. All my dogs have been crate trained. They are more than mentally healthy. They happy, exhuberent, vibrant, stable confindent social animals, that have a zest for life. And part of that is due to use of the crate. The crate saves the dog from punishment. Peeing in the house is not a moral conflict in the dog. They are not planning the jihad. It's not the same as telling a lie or stealing. We simply have to teach the dog the crate...is thier den. Then we teach them outside is bathroom. Which in a very short amount of time ( my last dog potty trained in 48 hours with a crate. I do not how much damage was done or if it is irreversable??!!!) the dog will learn the den is not only the crate, but the house is also.

yaep Gunny is correct because when my dogs are out I leave the crate doors open and my dogs go to the crate on their own and get in it. I'll walk past and they will be in the crate sleeping or chewing a toy with the door open so obviosly they find comfort in the crate.
