Hi! My name is Brenda! Iv been saving for a puggle for awhile now!I live in michigan and was wondering how I can go about finding one iv seen them in the newspaper for about 200 then I call on em and there gone! Wondering how to go about finding a breeder near me cuz my bf won't let me pay 1/2 the cost of the dog in shipping I want one so bad! Iv been waiting years! Anyway help me please!
There have been several posts about puggles and mixed breeds in general, you should search for them. If you were looking for a purebred I would direct your to the national breed club, but I'm pretty sure the "puggle" doesn't have one. Why not look into rescue; try petfinder.
No responsible breeder will breed a mixed breed "designer dog." That said, there are a lot of people who love their beagle/pug mixes-there are also a TON of them in shelters and on craigslist because of people who DIDN'T. Both breeds can have some dificult traits, and whether your "puggle" will inherit all, some or none of them is a crap shoot. Beagles are prone to following their noses and running off, also incessant baying. Pugs shed more than any dog alive I think, they are prone to breathing problems, and if forced to exercise much, tehy may very well keel over. It isn't really a great combination. Of course, they are impossibly cute, which is why most peopel buy them. Please make sure you do your research thoroughly before committing to this mix. Then, if you are still ready to go ahead, don't line the pockets of another greedy breeder who didn't care enough about the dogs to breed them appropriately. Call your shelter, check petfinder, as rottluvr suggested, and also check online with beagle and pug rescues. Shouldn't take you long to find one.
yea.. i have looked up lots of information on the puggles, i wont get a dog just cuz its cute only to realize later our .personalities and its needs and my lifestyle dont match. He/She will have plenty of room to run. I live on a 22 acre farm. im also not planning on spending tons of money on one.. but thank you all for your help! i have looked on a couple of sites online.. and they wat from 500 to 900 for one. which i think is a bit crazy considering it is pretty much "mutt" and "mutts" used to be free! oh well... i still want one! but i will try the new sites you guys have givin me THANKS AGAIN!!!!!
Lockup Puggles for sale in your state and see what comes up. We are getting our second puggle due to an untimely passing of our first one. She was an awesome dog and a major part of the family. I'm waiting for my family to get home as I have been traveling and they went from Nashville to Mississippi to get our little girl. She only 8 weeks old. Puggles are so loving and don't have any real health issues. They are breakiasafalic - not sure if I spelled it correctly.
