I'm very sorry to hear about the theft of your dog. Hopefully something will come to light, because the breed is not plentiful, and she will stick out 1ike a sore thumb if he puts her up for sale. I hope you get her back soon, and that your ex gets whats coming to him.
That is too bad. Did you try to make a police report and have them question your husband or landlord?I hope you find your dog.Did you try posting flyers yet? This is to bad and like Pen said I hope they get what they deserve.
I agree with the hopes that you filed a police report and a report with AC. If the animal was injured (ligament tear), has special medical needs, etc... placing the dog with someone who does not know how to care for the problem can result in further injury.
Then again, are you certain the dog was actually given to someone and not simply "lost" or turned over to AC as an abandoned pet?
How long were you "away" and who was responsible for caring for Cinder?
I wish you lick and hope you find your dog, safe, sound and with someone who is ready to return her.

Do they admit to giving Cinder away but won't say who they gave her to? Why does your husband say he gave your dog away?
I would check all local shelters/pounds and I would post signs. I would treat this as if you were trying to find a lost or stolen dog, even though if they really did GIVE it to someone that person wouldn't be at fault. They might want to give your dog back though, if they knew the circumstances that they aquired her under.
