So, I am going to a wedding this weekend wearing a yellow dress. I work all the time and have not had a chance to get out in the sun and get a little color. Has anyone ever got an airbrush tan? I'm just curious if it will change your skin to an orange color or if it would rub off on clothing etc.

There used to be a spa that offered spray tanning in my area awhile ago, but they closed it down because people were complaining about the results. I did it several times using the blocker that they provided for your joints (elbows, knees, knuckles, etc.) and it worked fine for me. I just really rubbed down afterward. I think that you have to take any excess spray off immediately or else it will turn you orange. On the down side, I also noticed after several applications that my white bras were getting a little brown and that in some spots it would rub off and look like dirt, so I quit going and hit the tanning bed for a time. My sister and her sister-in-law still swear by them, though. I hope this helps :)!

I have used the stuff you get otc, It is ok if you know someone good putting on. It is very easy to get it uneven. It worked well for me. I dont do tanning beds, I have never been able to keep the tan, it always fades. I would rather not get skin cancer also.
I use the stuff off the shelf too. If you go this route remember that you get what you pay for; avoid bargain brands. I use one that comes in a small bronze tube, I think it's Neutrogena. I like it because it's tinted and you can tell where you put it on. Also, I use a dime size amount at a time and rub it on well before adding more. I helps prevent streaking and it's easier to add more than to take off the excess.
i was going to do the spray tanning thing last weekend so i didnt look so pale for my sisters wedding. the girls assured me that i would not turn orange but at the last minute i chickened out because i would rather be pale than possibly being orange ! lol.

for those that want a little color without the harmful sun rays...I use a product very cheep...coppertone...in a circle shaped bottle, smells good...I only apply every other day or so. It is a cream...provides just enough so no one needs sunglasses on to look at you in shorts and a tank...ha ha..looks so natural my dermatologist thought I was out in the sun and was yelling at me...ha ha...good luck
The yellow dress will help you look a little less pasty, but as a pale young lady myself, I've found that those self tanners that give you a really gradual subtle tan work the best and look the most natural. My favorite is the Jergens Natual Glow. It looks awesome, doesn't come out streaky, and smells pretty. ****Just make sure you wash you hands really well after each application!!!*** also, it helps to put it on right after a good scrub down in a hot shower. Getting all the dead skin off your body helps keep the color even and natural looking. Good luck!!
